Brandon Myers, the 6'3”, 195-pound wide receiver from Durant (FL) High School made the most of his one-on-one opportunities his senior year, hauling in 41 catches for 613 yards and 11 touchdowns.

"I gained a ton of confidence from my junior year," Myers said. "Experience helped out a lot going into my senior year; I was motivated this past off-season working on my speed and strength."

Myers’ hard work paid off, earning him nine scholarship offers from: Florida Tech, Bryant University, Southern Illinois, Montana State, Mercer University, Central Arkansas, New Hampshire, North Dakota State and Charleston Southern.

Before making a decision, Myers took a trip to Charleston Southern for an unofficial visit after a scheduled visit to Central Arkansas conflicted with his schedule. Fortunately for him, Central Arkansas offers a virtual tour of their campus on their website and Myers liked what he saw. A combination of the virtual tour along with the opportunity he was offered, led Myers to commit on November 2, 2016.

"I chose Central Arkansas because I liked the campus, the football facilities, and I'm able to come in and play my freshman year," Myers said. "The coaching staff like that I'm a big guy that attacks the ball. They can get me on one-on-one matchups so I like that."

Myers plans to run track for his high school as well as working to increase his strength before he gets on the college campus.

"Well, I have to continue to get faster and stronger this offseason because college football is faster than high school football, and I need to get stronger to avoid getting jammed at the line," Myers said.

Myers plans to study business management.
